Teddington Athletic 0 v Feltham 6 (FRIENDLY)

Feltham today made the short trip to the splendid Bushey Park for a friendly against Teddington Athletic from the Surrey Primary League.Whilst last week was possibly the worst pitch we will play on this season , today was probaby the best as we played on the outfield of Teddington Cricket Club.

Feltham today included Tynell and Billy who are both on trial whilst Toby returned to the squad however Richard and Leon were missing. The Blues made a tentative start and were lucky not to go a goal down early on as Athletic went close with a good low shot. Feltham then established themselves and were pressing forward with Tynell busy up front causing the home defence some problems. Ten minutes from the break Feltham took the lead when Anthony prodded home his first after some good build up play. Half time came and the half had been fairly even with both sides having a few chances. However the second half was a different story as the visitors established a 3-0 lead early in the second half with Anthonys second and a fine volley from Tynell. Feltham were now playing some good flowing football and creating some good chances. Tynell scored his second before John Jo added the fifth with his 16th goal of the season slotting home after a good run . Anthony scored his hat trick with a clever low shot before leaving the pitch to a standing ovation from the travelling fans at the wicket end. Joe produced two good saves late on as Teddington battled for a consolation goal however they could not achieve the breakthrough.

Today was a good run out for the boys and all 14 played well in a well deserved victory. It was pleasing to keep a clean sheet in preperation of our big game at home to Camberley next week which is an early six pointer at the top of the league. All the boys made a valuable contribution to the match and should be pleased with their display. We need to take todays attitude and level of performance into next weeks game. Well played everybody.

Thank you to all the parents for bringing the boys and for your support in the rain. Thanks to Phil and his Teddington boys for a sporting and competetive game and good luck in your league for the rest of the season. Thanks for giving us the oppurtunity to play in such nice surroundings.
