Hello all....
Please accept my apologies. I've been so rushed of my feet this week plus Sally being injured. I totally forgot to write up about the hard work our lads had done at the Badshot lea tournament last week. So here we go. A BIG WELL DONE TO ALL THE BOYS AND ROB for winning the plate !!! for both of the teams it was a very slow and frustrating start. If Rob and myself had hair, we would have pulled it out by the end of the league stage. Unlucky to the lads who got pipped at the post. They just missed out on getting through to the quarter final stage on goal difference. Because of the early start all the team looked half asleep but when they made it through to the quarters they woke up and turned on the style;
showing some great football, determination and a bit of passion. They worked hard getting through to the semis, battled through to the finals and eventually won the plate!
WINNING TEAM. Lewis,Jordon,Jac w,Kye,James,Ashley,Sasha and Rob
WELL DONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sunday we were invited to play in the Feltham Youth u12's mini tournament at Feltham Park. We were playing in an age group above us so this was our chance to show that us u11's can mix it with an older age group. All 16 kids who played did exactly that. It was a great experience for all of our age group. We stuffed one of the u12's teams six -nil! Some of the games we lost were really close with only 1 goal in it. One of our teams won the group stage to make it through to the semi finals. Tough game in the semis as we were drawn against Hampton Wanderers. Both teams were evenly matched, which resulted going into extra time and then penalties. Our boys kept their cool and scored all 5 pens but Hampton done exactly the same. Which meant sudden death and it was down to the two keepers to battle it out. Hampton went first and he blasted it over the cross bar. Then it was down to Brads. He stepped up and blasted it into the back off the net! 15 team mates went mental and bundled him. We were in the final! In the final we put everything into it but for the one and only mistake of the game we were punished and Feltham Youth u12's went 1-0 up. We battled hard forcing their keeper to pull off two fine saves. Time defeated us in the end and we lost the final 1-0. Rob and myself cannot express how proud we are of each and every one of the team. All 16 kids showed true guts and determination. After the comp Rob and myself were receiving positive feedback from fellow managers and parents saying you've got a great team their which is great to hear! Trouble is, not being big headed, Rob and myself already knew that (ha ha ha ha ha)
WELL DONE TO ALL THE U11'S
Thanks
Da Management!
